Angelina
Certified Veterinary Technician Angelina holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Northern Arizona University where she majored in Zoology and Wildlife Management. She has worked as an animal rescue officer at the Arizona Humane Society as well as many seasonal positions as a Wildlife Technician. Here at the clinic, she enjoys assisting in surgery as well as the diverse challenges that working at a vet clinic brings.
Angelina has one daughter who shares her love of outdoor activities such as paddle boarding, cross-country skiing, and hiking. She also has a dog, 2 cats, 2 turtles, and various fish. |
Desta
Certified Veterinary Technician Desta has been working at Care since 2007. She earned her CVT degree at Penn Foster, an online school, while working for us as a veterinary assistant. She came to us interested in working at a high quality practice that cares for animals as she would care for her own pets. One of her favorite aspects of her job is educating pet owners about the health care of their pets. Working at a vet clinic means that every day brings new challenges and more pets in need of help and care, which keeps the job interesting and rewarding. Desta shares her home with her 5 dogs. She spends her spare time gardening, walking her dogs, and horseback riding. |
Jenny
Veterinary Assistant/Customer Care Specialist Jenny first started working for Spooner Vet and Care Animal Clinic in 2002. She left in 2007 to stay home with her new baby and came back to work at Care again in 2011. She went to school at UW-River Falls and studied Animal Science. Jenny enjoys many aspects of working at the clinic such as laboratory work and assisting with surgery, as well as educating clients and learning new things. Jenny shares her home with her husband and 3 boys, as well as a Mini Schnauzer, Lab, and two cats. She enjoys spending quality time with her family doing many activities such as hunting, fishing, gardening, and watching and playing sports. |

Brianna
Veterinary Assistant
Brie has been working at Care since October of 2016. She graduated from UW-Barron County with an Associates Degree in General Arts and Science. She has showed her love for animals while working as a kennel attendant and assistant manager at a dog boarding facility in Hudson, WI. Before that, she worked at a large dairy farm in Athens, WI where she helped with vaccinating, maternity, and moving cows.
Brianna loves working as a Vet Assistant because of the diverse challenges seen and the new things she learns every day. She loves educating clients about the health care of their pets.
Outside of the clinic, Brianna enjoys spending time with her family and pets. She has two dogs (Kip and Hunter) and two cats (Harper and Oscar). She spends most of her time outside, hunting, and fishing. She also helps care for the goats and pigs on her parents' farm.

Lucy
Customer Care Specialist Lucy started working at Care in June of 2014. She also works part time as a Daycare Teacher and is a volunteer on the City of Hayward Fire Department. She also has an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. The part of the job that Lucy likes the most is being able to work with animals and people. Lucy lives in Hayward with her husband Mike and their daughter who was born in February 2018. They also have their dogs, Remi and Jase, and their cat, Frankie. In her spare time, Lucy likes to spend time with family and friends. |
Sara
Customer Care Specialist Sara has been at Care since March of 2017 . She has an Associate's Degree in General Arts and Science. She is a dog mom to Opal and Tucker. She likes working at Care because she loves animals and she also enjoys the conversations she has with clients that come in to the clinic. When she's not at work, she likes to be outside kayaking, fishing, hunting and hiking with her husband and dogs. |
